Project Homeless Connect Volunteer Training Scheduled
Danbury Project
Homeless Connect today announced the training schedule for volunteers
assisting with Project Homeless Connect 2010. Training sessions will take place at Danbury Police Headquarters, 375 Main Street, Danbury at the
following times:
Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 6-7:00pm and from 7-8pm.
Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 10-11:00am and from
11am-12noon.
Volunteers who have received training for past events are
not required to attend. Volunteers
will be able to sign up for tasks of their choice and receive appropriate
training for their chosen assignment.
Project Homeless Connect is still accepting volunteers for
this year’s event that will take place on December
10, 2010 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Bill Williams Gymnasium on the campus
of Western Connecticut State University.
The event is coordinated by the Greater
Danbury Continuum of Care and will bring together over forty community
organizations to provide services to persons who are homeless or in need of
housing and supportive services.
